​POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  • On arrival at class, parents will be asked to complete this linked online form.  (this can be completed on my device if necessary, cleaned between users)

  • Entrance to hall via the usual double door – this will remain open at all times while in the hall.

 

  • Exit via the fire doors down the side of the hall – these will be remain open at all times while in the hall.

 

  • If arriving at the hall by car, please stay in your car as long as possible for drop off and collection to avoid crowding at the entrance and exit.

 

  • Students must arrive at the hall ready for class.

  • Long hair MUST be tied back.  The hair should be secure to stay in place throughout the session if students aren't able tie it back themselves.

 

  • Bare feet are not permitted.  All students should wear either their relevant dance shoes or sensible footwear suitable for dance (no heels, no outdoor ballet pump style so sandals or flip flops).  Grip socks may be worn but shoes are preferable.

  • Students should be able to fasten their own shoes (or with the help of a sibling also in attendance).

  • Wherever possible, students should bring all of their items in once self contained, closeable bag and should not bring more to class than is necessary (dance shoes, drinks, food (if a long class), sanitiser).  There should also be room in the bag to hold any layers of clothing that are removed during class following the warm up.

  • Older students may choose to bring their phones for break times or to film work, but nobody other than the owner and their siblings will be permitted to hold the phone, and you will not be able to charge your phone at the hall.

 

  • Hand sanitiser is provided by Epworth Imperial Hall and Epworth Performing Arts Academy, but please provide your own if you are able.  Please use sanitiser on entry an exit.

 

  • All windows in the hall will remain open at all times while in the hall.

 

  • The fire doors on to Chapel Street will be open if it is felt necessary for additional ventilation – this will be an ongoing assessment for safeguarding due to direct street access.

 

  • Only one person allowed to the toilet at any one time – make sure you wash your hands.

 

  • Please bring enough to drink as you will not be able to refill in the kitchen at this time.

 

  • Children must be able to open any food packaging by themselves or with the help of a sibling who is also in attendance.

 

  • All lunch waste must be taken home to be disposed of.

 

  • Masks need not be worn by students or teachers at our sessions.  Any adults needing to enter the hall for any reason will be required to wear a face covering.  Wherever possible, we request that only students and teachers enter the building.

 

  • Make sure you cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue.  Tissues will be available at the hall.

  • Do not come to class if you, or anyone in your family, are displaying symptoms of Covid-19.  Please comply with the government guidelines regarding self-isolation.
